“In 2018, the price of C大冷hina pig and pork dropped i微匠n different percentage對金, with the price of 分音 live pig dropped by 16.4嗎要%, suckling pig by 30.8%, sow 不子by 23.8%, pork by 17.1% and the p腦計rofit of pork slaughtering dr都慢opped by 42.3%.“ Ma Chuang i醫理n his report “The Impact of ASFv算從 on China Pig Industry and Consum工草ption Market” pointed ou家裡t: “Accompany with th用們e decrease of pork pr內醫ice and slaughtering profits, the p可但rice of the replacing produ冷中cts beef, mutton, poultr亮劇y meat and poultry egg has increased 現北in different degree: th哥這e price of beef and 兵醫mutton increased by 3女妹.8 % and 11.4 % respectively; the樹鐘 price of whiter broile照店r meat increased by 16.4%; reta身都iling price of egg increased 技作by 23.6%; eliminated layers by 黃物8.9%; and duck by 9.0%.”
Ma Chuang furthermore points out cause路嗎s of the phenomenon:
1. Too much of pork supply. 高亮In 2018, the total supply of pork amou北地nted to 58.60 millions, increa員要sed by 2.1% comparing with 不子the 53.38 million total supply 站通of year 2017;
2. A decreased pig number out of 學匠the outbreak of ASFv. B工上y the end of January of 2019,不技 there was 111 cases 兒熱of ASFv as reported and 1 million infe冷輛cted pig being slaug工錢htered. The quantity of live p你新ig and sow has dropp報長ed by 12.6% and 14.8% res黃用pectively.
3. Pig consumption grew faster than pig s開廠upply. In 2018, China per capita p火資ork consumption was 42 kilo光麗gram, increased by 1.7% contra日鐘sted with 41.3 kilo體高gram in 2017, which is 0.4% faste家煙r than the total supply of pork.

According to Ma Chuang,知亮 the drop of pork supply l飛子eads to the increase of pork price. A我現nd the profit of pig farm will ac可紅cordingly increase.
